Sameer is consistent and plays within his limitations. He is a determined cricketer and patient top order bat. He plays the ball on its merit and has accumulated plenty of runs in his limited innings. He has managed to give the much needed stability in the middle as been instrumental in many vital partnerships. He does provide a sense of assurance to the team.He is a very sweet timer of the ball and is very pleasing to the eye when he is in full flow. Has high backlift and punches the ball hard in the gaps. One of our new players but has settled in well with the team.
The LOL part: Sameer is a purist. His passion for the game drives his desire to understand the pitch to the minutest detail. Often he can been seen during the twilight hours walking the length of the Jefferson pitch with a metal detector in hand working magic formulae in mind to figure out the composition of the pitch’s top layer. Plays with a one of the most famous bat makers from the late seventies – early eighties – The Symonds. A fun guy on the field.

Perfect description! He also lost his wedding band while playing Cricket (which might be why he is experimenting with metal detectors), so if anyone finds it, pls inform. It has Sameer's name on it!
