vs Star
Result - Himalayan lost by 108 runs
Match Report:
Himalayan won toss and elected to field first on a hot and humid day. Srini started off by
bowling the ball right in spot for the batsman who had no clue how much the ball was going
to swing. First wicket was down in the 4'th ball of the first over with 0 runs on board.
Sher on the other end bowled a decent line but WAS unlucky not to get a wicket in his first
spell. Star batsmen steadied the innings into the first break with 59 runs/1 wkt in 10
overs. Jana's introduction post first break brought the initiative back to himalayan. Jana
bowled extremely tight line and gave no room for the batsman to play. On the other end Aman
continue to pressurize the batsmen as they started to crumble and falls for Jana's
disguising balls. By second break star were 90/5. Star was lucky not to have lost their
golden wicket (Ankit) in the third session. Both the batsman were let go in two drop
catches and two run outs which proved too expensive and cost us the game. Ankit went on to
make 175 runs while the other made 50. This partnership took away the game from himalayan.
Star went on to post their highest total, 340/7 in 40 overs.

Chandresh and Ram started off well with 6 runs per over coming without much work. Ram
was runout when himalayan didn't need to loose a wicket, his 3 or 4'th time getting runout
in 6 games. This brought Lali in who stuck to one end as chandresh made runs. Chandresh got
out bringing in Srini to the middle. Srini started off with series of 1 & 2's before launching Star's first change bowlers into stands. 6-7 runs per over were coming with ease but himalayan was missing one good partnership to make 340 an easy target. The heat and humidity made the matters worse. Batsmen were not able to take the heat as they started to exhaust under the sun. By the end of 30 overs, himalayan made about 160-170/5 wkts while Srini was on 51. In next 10 overs Srini went on to make his highest 96* and first 50 by himalayan while the rest kept rotating the strike . By the end of 40 overs, himalayan reached 234/8 wkts and fell about 100 runs short to victory. All himalayan needed was one good & long partnership but fell short of it.
Standout Performance: Srini - 96* (8x 6's, 3 x 4's), Jana - 4 wkts
